2 students of the Baptist High School Marke, in Kokona Local Government
Area of Nassarawa state, Joseph Idris, SS1, and Rimande Luka, Jss 2,
were burnt to death in a fire incident that occurred at about 2am
yesterday September 23rd. One of the school's student hostel, the Red
House hostel, which accommodates about 50 students, was engulfed in the
fire incident, trapping many of them. It is believed that the fire
started after an electric fault.
A parent to one of the deceased, Mr. Luka, father to
Rimande Luka said he brought his 2 children to the school two days
before the ugly incident. He described the incident as the will of God
and said he will not withdraw his other child from the school.
